Q: What was the inspiration behind creating Rüdes Denim?
A: The inspiration behind Rüdes Denim came from 2 parts. Before and after I was pregnant I realized that nothing I found was flattering on me and it was hard to find clothes that I felt comfortable and confident in. I found that everything that was out there in the market was all manufactured abroad and the quality control wasn’t where it should be. I wanted something that I could feel confident and comfortable in without compromising great fitting clothing.
The other reason really stems from my grandfather George Rudes. Innovator and genius behind many clothing brands such as Jean St. Germain and NYDJ Tummy Tuck Jeans. I wanted to continue his legacy in the industry. Feeling that he never left, that he never passed on. Above all to pay homage to my grandfather George. Everything I know I learned from him.
Q: What is your favorite pair of denim that we offer at the moment?
A: My favorite style from Rüdes Denim at the moment has to be our Max skirt. It's classic, elegant and fun. Love to pair it with a pretty top and either heels or flats depending on the occasion.
Q: What has been your favorite or most memorable moment during the process of creating Rüdes Denim?
A: : My favorite part so far aside from working closely with my business partner from the inception of the brand until now has to be when I got the opportunity to work closely with my team in Florida to host our first ever fashion show. I believe that it was very important to the brand and for myself to get to know my team better and work together on everything. I love my team and how close we are. I am very appreciative for everyone and consider them a part of our Rüdes Fam.
Q: What do you think is the most trendy style of jeans at the moment?
A: Bootcut and flare. You can cuff the bootcut or the flare for a different look. I personally love a high-rise bootcut or flare.
